RAGE screenshots

These are all what appear to be officially-released screenshots for the recently-released id/Bethesda game RAGE. As soon as I figure out how to take some of my own screenshots of actual gameplay I will post them with a bit of a personal review. (At the moment it looks like I'll probably have to use FRAPS.) Sorry this is the best I can do for now; I've just got too much RL stuff to do today...

Well, it looks interesting, but I don't know squat about the game, so everything is out of context for me. I've learned not to spend money on a game just because it looks good. That tends to be a costly mistake. Judging by your post, you have acquired a copy of the game though, so I will patiently await your review of it. Thanks for posting these shots though :)

Such are the travails of the employed. But hey: better busy than suffering crushing depression.

I confess I haven't read up much on RAGE -- knowing I can't run it and all -- so I'll be interested to see what you think of it.

You're not the only one, there's far too much shiny rubbish around.

Instead I spend far too much money on older games and not play them for months >_<

Rage does look very shiny though.

Don't be so sure you can't run it; I could be wrong, but from what I've seen so far it's actually easier on my system than the Fallout games. More on that later...

...then again, maybe not. I installed the game on my old Dell Dimension and thus far have been unable to get it running. If I do you'll be the first to know, but at the moment it appears that your pessimism may be accurate this time.

Silly Neko, my pessimism is virtually always accurate; though I'll forgive you for being a heathen and doubting its nigh-omniscience.

Plus, I know that PC gaming is a huge conspiracy designed to force the sale of new components every couple years whether the old ones have burned out or not.

  7. Yeah, I forgot about that whole conspiracy for a minute there. Manufacturers have been doing that crap to us with virtually everything since the Bronze Age...

  8. It's discrimination against the un/under-employed, I say!
