Not-so-random Screnshots

                                         The Dark Fairyhood
                                         Ego Versus Ego
                                         Wing Envy

Just a few screenshots made possible by Lady Rae and Korana (among others); since some Morrowind mod sites and mods seem to be slipping into obscurity, I think I will post some here from time to time as a public service. I once thought I was rather foolish for downloading every Morrowind mod I could get my hands on, but especially now that Elric M.'s site and Misty Moon's pages are gone I'm thinking maybe it wasn't such a bad idea after all. (More on those later, as time permits.)

  1. I hope you're feeling in a public service-y mood fairly regularly -- these are neat, and I do like seeing what people do to these games.

I've always considered TES/Fallout (and other easily/widely moddable games) to be like getting a look into other people's ideal, personal universe(s).

"What world would you live in, if you could make it anything you wanted it to be?"

My answer always seems to involve a bunch of redheads and a mansion with a view of some water.

  2. Indeed; my answer always seems to involve diminutive demihumans who adore me.

As for my public service-yness, it's also going to depend a bit upon author permissions in the cases of mods that I possess but are no longer freely available elsewhere. A prime example would be Misty Moon, an author whose webpage is no longer active and I've yet to successfully contact. I'd love to just put the stuff in my DropBox folder and post links because I feel the mods deserve to continue to be enjoyed by others, but I also need to respect the wishes of the author printed in the readme of each mod.

      Those are good, too.

Generally prefer my women tall enough to wield a proper weapon without it dragging the ground... but there is something to be said for the wee fey folk.

Understandable, but I was actually just meaning screenshots.

Since I'm learning to make normalmaps, and am having more and more trouble embarking on my... not sure what to call it other than a "big mod" for Skyrim; I don't see myself having a chance to jump hip deep into Morrowind anytime soon.

Which line do I get in to buy an observer's ticket for your game? That's still amusing, but much less effort on my part...

    2. *More trouble resisting the urge to embark on the big Skyrim mod, that is.

Someone remind me not to type comments while watching the Simpsons over my shoulder anymore.

    3. Aren't screenshots what gaming blogs are for?

Heck, if I can get the technology to cooperate, I might even have to post a video of the wee fey folk beating up an Ogrim or something...

    4. Would that be a swarming of wee fey folk? I guess that would depend upon how wee we are talking about, yes? Just curious.
