Gen Mod 3.1

This is what happens if you configure Gen Mod for Morrowind to generate a 100-level Ancestral Tomb. (Need I say more?)

  1. One hundred levels?

You really don't do these things half-assed, do you?

I see on the programs description that it can generate basic items and NPCs as well as the base cell(s). It's hard to tell at that image size, but did you use those options on the cells?

I'm just kind of curious what you had in mind, here; since from my admittedly uninformed position here, it looks suspiciously like a DOOM map pack in Morrowind... Kind of wondering if it's packed to the brim with nasties and goodies.

    1. Well, like random level generators for other games, the cells produced by this one can often feel "canned" and require quite a bit of human polishing to actually feel worth playing. It does indeed place monsters, treasure containers and statics such as lights and decorations and can be configured to use a variety of themes. In the end the only essential thing a human needs to do is link the first level to the exterior world.

I don't know if I'll actually polish all 100 levels and submit it publicly because such things have already been done several times and it could end up being quite a bit of work. However, I couldn't resist the urge to go ahead and link it to the exterior world and start doing a little tweaking of the first cell.

What I'd like to see now is a similar program for Oblivion and Skyrim.
