WARLOCK: Master of the Arcane

I haven't played many turn-based strategy map games, but this one looks like something I might give a try.

  1. Looks great! I'm a big fan of the Civilization and Heroes Of Might And Magic games so I'm definitely gonna check it out. I've played some Civ IV mods with a fantasy theme, I always wished there was a full game like that, and this seems to be it :)

  2. Got it from Steam the day before yesterday, and yesterday I started it just to 'see if my computer can handle it' and 'maybe play the tutorial'. Well, in the end it was 'just one more turn' for 8 hrs :p

Awesome game, a few minor annoyances in the interface but imho it's totally worth the 20 bucks. I guess there will be more content later, there's already a mini-addon for 2€...

    1. Since posting this I've had a chance to look at the actual game myself as well. Not bad for $20 'tis true, but to be honest it looks like the kind of thing that simply won't hold my attention. Plus I'm proud to be a card-carrying Steam hater.

    2. I don't like Steam either, but sometimes I'm too lazy to go to the store or too impatient to order a game and wait for the mailman... Tbh, this is the first game I ever bought from Steam myself, all the other games in my list were for free or gifts from my buddies. That makes Steam half as bad :p

Well, Warlock couldn't hold my attention for more than two days, I'm already playing Doom again.
But just like Civilization or Doom, it's one of those games that never get old, I will still play it in a few years.
